Model 1660-LNATemperature Control System
Product Highlights:
DescriptionThe ADE Magnetics Model 1660-LNA provides the Model 4 and Model 10 Vibrating Sample Magnetometers with low noise sample temperature control that is fast and easy to use. Samples may be heated to 1000 K in 2 minutes and cooled to liquid nitrogen temperature in 5 minutes. No sample chamber vacuum is required, so changing samples can be almost as fast as that at room-temperature operation. Low noise performance is achieved by the all-glass sample chamber construction. ![]() The Model 1660-LNA is intended for facilities that need to measure magnetic parameters from 100 K to 1000 K. This range can be covered continuously, permitting high and low temperature settings to be used in a single experiment. The Model 1660-LNA is well suited for magneto-optic thin film compensation temperature experiments, as well as temperature studies of rigid disks, floppy disks, tapes, magnetic powders, permanent magnets, and other magnetic materials. The 1660-LNA can be ordered with a VSM system, or upgraded later on-site. It can be easily added to the existing VSM system without changing the overall system footprint. After installation, no tools are required to move the temperature control system into position or remove the system for room-temperature operation. The 1660-LNA consists of a sample chamber mounted on a vertical slide, which can be raised and lowered for easy sample changing. The system provides temperature readout and control of the high-power heater. At the end of an experiment, the temperature controller returns the sample to room temperature and shuts off the flow of gas. Automatic execution of complicated temperature experiments is standard for this system. Special programs that measure saturation and remanence vs. temperature are provided. All tested parameters may be plotted vs. temperature in the system’s powerful software. |
